Twins Star 3B Miguel Sano Accused of Sexually Assaulting Photographer

Earlier today, Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano has been accused of sexual assault by a female photographer. The photographer, Betsy Bissen, worked at Minnesota Twins events for the past few years. Betsy claims that this assault happened back in 2015.

Betsy, followed up her original tweet by saying she “wants nothing but to feel free of this burden I’ve carried with me since 2015. I have NOTHING to gain from this”.

Sano issued a statement today denying the allegations.

“I unequivocally deny the allegation made against me today — it never happened,” Sano said in the statement. “I have the utmost respect for women, especially those working in professional sports, and I deeply sympathize with anyone who has experienced sexual harassment. There is no place for it in our society.”

Rob Plummer, Sano’s former agent, confirmed that he was at the mall for the signing, but was not in position to see the alleged incident.

“I was outside next to the car waiting for him to come out on the other side of the loading bay dock, so I don’t know what happened inside,” Plummer told ESPN. “I didn’t see or hear anything. I wasn’t anywhere near Miguel.”

Since her original post, Bissen has claimed that the Twins new nothing about what transpired that day.

The Twins issued a statement that they have been made aware of these allegations.

“Today the Minnesota Twins were made aware of allegations involving Miguel Sano at an offsite appearance during the 2015 season,” the statement said. “The Twins, along with Major League Baseball, take these allegations very seriously. Until more information is gathered, the Twins will have no further comments.”

It will be interesting to see how major league baseball will punish Miguel if these allegations against him are proven true. If they are true, they must come down on him hard and show the public that they take these types of situations very seriously.

Tom Brady Recorded His 100th Regular Season Win At Gillette Stadium on Sunday

With the win over the Bills, the greatest quarterback of all time recorded a staggering 100th win at his home stadium — becoming the only QB to win 100 games in one stadium. Another notch in the book for someone who just keeps rewriting the record books in the later stage of his career.

Crazy to think he has won 100 games at Gillette during the regular season. Just how hard is it to beat Brady at home? Let’s take a look at who else has wins at Foxboro since Brady’s entered the league.

  • Matt Cassel (5)
  • Chad Pennington (3)
  • Peyton Manning (2)
  • Brett Favre (2)
  • Brian Hoyer (2)
  • Sixteen QBs (1)

Cassel obviously started the season where Brady went down with an ACL tear — so not surprising there. The next person with the most success is Chad Pennington — withย 3 wins. That, in its self I think is most impressive that Brady’s rate. There has not been a QB that has been able to win 3 times at Gillette other than Pennington. Brady is 100-16 in the regular season and 16-3 in the playoffs. If there was any doubt you had that Gillette is not a fortress, that should now be gone.

For perspective, it would take 12 and a half years of sweeping the home games (8 per year) to reach 100 wins. Granted, Brady’s been along for a long time but this is still no minor feat. Brees is in second place with 61 wins at the Superdome. That’s a gap of almost 40 wins. Brady goes for 101 wins this weekend in a home-field clinching win against the Jets.

Rajon Rondo From Out of Nowhere With 25 Assists

Rajon Rondo — yeah, remember him? He’s been quiet since leaving the Celtics and slowly becoming a toxic teammate wherever he’s gone after. Well, he’s been averaging 6.8 points and 8.3 assists per game over in New Orleans — probably helps that he passes the ball to both Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins.

Rondo went out last night and dropped a casual 25 assists in 30 minutes in a win against the Nets. AND he dropped 2 points to go with it. 1-5 from the field, surprise surprise.

This is the Rondo that we all watched and loved/hated on those big 3 Celtic teams. For comparison, Scott Skiles holds the record with 30 assists in a single game and it took him 44 minutes to do so. If Rondo kept up his pace (and who knows if he would have), he would have put up 37 assists. I can’t imagine he would have put up that much but he should have easily been able to break the record. He had 8 assists in the fourth quarter alone — outrageous efficiency.

Rondo has been kind of a forgotten player in this era of the scoring point guard but something about a vintage 1-5 from the field and 20+ assists performance just gets me going. Good to see Franklin can still ball out when he wants to.

Transfer Madness: Virgil van Dijk Completes ยฃ75 million Liverpool Move.

Madness!!! We are shade over 48 hours from the opening of the January transfer window, and Liverpool captured the central defender they have been been hunting for nearly 6 months.

Quick breakdown of transfer business briefly before I get into a rant. There are two opportunities teams can add new players. The Summer window is the first opportunity to purchase players. The window is open from July 1st, with deadline day coming on August 31st (think trade deadline in U.S. sports). The second, is the January Window, open from January 1 to 31st.

The Virgil van Dijk saga had been going on since the summer began. He had made it clear he wanted to move to a bigger club than Southampton. A move never materialized as he was under contract with Southampton, and they were intent on keeping the player instead of selling. Liverpool were 1 of 2 teams interested in the summer. Manchester City were the other.

The transfer has been completed at long last after months of speculation. Even though it is a few days before the window opens, the clubs agreed to the ยฃ75 million fee, and Virgil passed his Liverpool physical. The club even announced it a few days early, but he won’t be able to join Juergen Klopp’s side until January 1st.

Let me be the first to say that this transfer is an absolute joke. The ยฃ75 million pound fee is the highest ever paid for a defender. Not just in the Premier League, but the WORLD. Utter nonsense!!! Virgil is a very good player, and will vastly improve Liverpool’s trash back-line don’t get me wrong.

(^ LOL clowns)

He’s not the best defender in the world. For the longest time, that title went to Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid. Now, you could throw a few other names in the mix.

Let me just name 10 defenders I’d rather spend big money on. In no particular order:

1. Mats Hummels

2. Sergio Ramos

3. Raphael Varane

4. Gerard Piquรฉ

5. Cesar Azpilicueta

6. Jรฉrรดme Boateng

7. Dani Alves

8. Thiago Silva

9. Leonardo Bonucci

10. Marcelo

Now, I would take each one of these guys in a heartbeat. I would NOT pay ยฃ75 million for ANY of them. Those 10 are world class too. Best of the best defenders money can buy. Notice how the majority of them played for Champions League teams. Bayern Munich, Paris Saint German, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and none from fucking Southampton.

Virgil will certainly help Liverpool, and at the end of the day, there’s no salary cap. What the fuck do I care? He definitely can play. He’s got good mobility for a defender, and posses great ball skills. Traits not owned by many defenders, let alone big central defenders. I don’t really care about the price tag, I am just shocked. All I can pray for is this man flops under Klopp. Fuck Liverpool man, fuck ’em.

Update: Philipp Lahm retired, never fear Thiago Silva is here. I guess I’ll go screw now.

Get a Load of This Piece of Shit!

I’ll make this quick.ย  I saw this this afternoon while anxiously awaiting to jump out the window due to boredom. Now I am trying to jump out due to embarrassment.ย  Each passing day the Browns do something to top themselves, and this stunt by this piece of shit Coach is no different.

Just when I said yesterday I hope that 0-16 is rock bottom.ย  They go and find a way to dig a little deeper. Bunch of pricks. This guy makes my blood boil, I don’t think I’ve ever hated a professional sports figure more than Hue Jackson.

Image result for Hue Jackson sucks

Lets take a brief look at what this pompous piece of shit had the balls to say last season:

“We can’t do that. We are not going to do that. We can stop right there. I’m not doing that. We are not going 1-15 or I’ll be swimming in the lake over there somewhere. I know me too well. I know me and I know these guys too well. We put out this front that where we are. We are not going 1-15 next year. You can write it if you’d like.ย Hue Jacksonย said it. We are not. That’s the way it is.”

Fast-forward one yea later, per Mary Kay Cabot, of Cleveland.com:

“Heck ya I’ve got to do it” about jumping in the lake. Says he will do it for the Hue Jackson Foundation, hopes a lot of people come out for it”

……He hopes people come out for it?ย  You know what Hue?ย  Go fuck yourself.ย  Seriously, what a pompous prick.ย  “Oh look at how safe my job is!”ย  “Wee!!!” Lets pray that he 1. can’t swim, 2. the lake is filled with battery acid. He seems so overly cocky about being employed next year, it makes me sick. I wish this man nothing but the worst. He’s awfully arrogant for the worst Head Coach in NFL History.

@Browns, MAKE IT STOP.ย  Fire this clown.

The NFC Absolutely Destroyed the AFC This Year

The NFL season is coming to a close and if you take a quick glance at the NFC — you’ll notice there are much stronger teams than the AFC.

Capture

Of course, there’s years that the AFC is like this too and some of the strongest contenders (Patriots, Steelers) are waiting in the opposite conference — but take a look at this stat.

41-23! That’s wild, the most lopsided in 13 years — even with arguably the best QB in the NFC hurt for the majority of the season. Granted there’s not many inter-conference games as in conference but even the bad teams in the NFC did well. The Bears — yes the 5-10 Bears? Well they wentย 4-0 against the AFC North, usually one of the tougher conferences in the AFC. That means the Chicago Bears managed to beat both the Steelers and the Ravens while going 1-10 in the NFC

The Giants’ 2 wins? The Chiefs and the Broncos, both AFC teams. That means the catastrophe that has been the 2017 NY Giants even went .500 against the AFC. The AFC is certainly top heavy but that is not a good look.

The NFC however is 0-3 in the last three Super Bowls. At the end of the day, the NFC is going to end up beating up on each other and then the Patriots are going to get the battered remains in the Super Bowl. Business as usual.

ESPN’s newest 30 for 30 ‘The Two Bills’

Get your popcorn ready Patriot and NFL fans, ESPN has announced that they will be releasing a new 30 for 30 titled “The Two Bills” February 1st.

The documentary features Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells. The joint interview will discuss their relationship and careers together.

“Bill and I, weโ€™ve spent plenty of time together, but that was on camera,”ย Belichickย said on Dale & Holley with Rich Keefe last month. “It was down at Giants Stadium in their locker room. We covered a lot of ground. A couple of hours โ€” two or three hours. I canโ€™t remember, exactly. It is always good to be with Bill and reminisce. We won a lot of games together. We had a lot of great times together and I think the NFL Films crew probably, hopefully captured it as good as anybody, probably better than anybody does. Certainly better than anybody else in football, but just overall and bringing things together, they do a great job. I always loveย to watch their productions, especially the ones that donโ€™t involve me. They seem a lot less interesting.โ€

This will be an electric documentary. You rarely get any type of real personality out of Bill Belichick so this will give us a chance to dive into what Bill is really like.

The Garoppolo Effect

Midway through the season, the Patriots made a move that surprised a lot of people- trading Jimmy Garoppolo to the San Francisco 49ers for a measly second round pick. Based on the fact the Pats shipped off Jacoby Brissett to the Colts, one would assume that meant they wanted to keep Garoppolo long-term. Never assume with Belichick making the decisions. It seems like every single year a move is made by the Patriots and everyone thinks, โ€œWhy on earth did they do that? That was stupidโ€ but every time it just happens to work itself out. Even though that is the case, this one feels different and I donโ€™t like it.

jimmyg2.PNG

When asked about the success of the 49ers, Tom Brady had nothing but good things to say about the situation, which obviously comes off as no surprise. In an interview with WEEI, Brady was quoted as saying โ€œAny time youโ€™re in a winning environment that definitely helps and I think guys really enjoy that. You take what you can and try to use it in other places if thatโ€™s where you go. Like I said, I think what theyโ€™re doing is a credit to them. I donโ€™t think anyone should take credit for what those guys have accomplished.โ€ The 49ers win over the Jaguars also impacted the AFC playoff picture, securing a first-round bye for the Patriots. Iโ€™m sure Brady wasnโ€™t too upset by that.

The way Garoppolo was able to come in to a team that was getting embarrassed on a weekly basis and turned around the entire culture has been very impressive. There have been many arguments circulating around about whether the 49ers would be a playoff team is Garoppolo started at the beginning of the season. While I am not totally convinced, I think there is a chance they could have at least four more wins (Cardinals X2, Colts, Redskins). Does that get them into the playoffs? This would be a huge week 17 for them if that was the case.

jimmyg3.PNG

Being a Patriots fan, there hasnโ€™t been many times where I would actively root for another team. This has definitely changed since the trade, and I hope Garoppolo can carry on his success, whether or not he comes back to New England. Keep rockinโ€™ Jimmy G.

Browns Lose to Bears. Will Go 0-16.

Numb. I’m simply numb. The Browns traveled to the Windy City on Christmas Eve, hoping to capture their first win of 2017. They left defeated 20-3. They lost to a fucking shit Bears team, and it looked as if they were playing a Super Bowl contender. A 3 win team looked miles ahead of the beleaguered Browns.

There’s really no point in breaking down the game, stats, or anything similar. It’s over. They looked like dog shit. This next week the Browns will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. This past game against Chicago was our last hope, and it was stomped on.

They did however, fall ass-backwards into the first overall draft pick this year. Hooray? Some fans would be excited to have the chance to draft so high, and potentially find a franchise player whether it’d be a Quarterback, elite Pass Rusher, or a skilled receiver.

I hate it. The first overall pick absolutely sucks. 0-16 is even more gut wrenching. The Browns also hold a second top 5 pick thanks to the Deshaun Watson trade with Houston. A sad, sad consolation prize.

@Browns just make it stop please!!! Some teams hope for playoff births, playoff bye’s, or Super Bowl runs. I just wanted one lousy god-damn win. They simply could not get it done in 2017. Let’s just pray to the Football gods that 0-16 is FINALLY rock bottom. You know it’s bad when you’d gladly sacrifice a limb for more points than the other team when the clock hits 0:00.

They’ve sucked since ’99, and fans like myself always thought, “It can’t get worse, can it?”. Well, it always got worse. From Brady Quinn, to Colt McCoy. Butch Davis, to Eric Mangini. Johnny Manziel and Justin Gilbert, and many more names. It always got worse without fail. Maybe this time is the charm? I sure hope so. Who the fuck knows, 1. who we’ll pick, and 2. if pick would even want to play for the Browns?

So, tune in on New Years Eve to witness some history! The Browns will turn their head, and cough for the Super Bowl primed Steelers, at Heinz Field. Browns fans, brace yourself for memes, losing statistics, and retread jokes. It’s going to be really hard for me to come back from a black mark like 0-16, but I’ll never fully give up hope.

Part of what makes being a Browns fan fun, is thinking about how awesome it would be if the ever managed to be good. I reckon it’d be the best feeling sports could offer (besides Big Z hoisting Lord Stanley of course). Hang in there Browns fans, only one week of hell left.

For the last time in 2017, let’s go Brownies!

James Harrison Officially a Patriot

It didn’t take long for the rumors to turn into reality. James Harrison posted on Instagram announcing he will be signing with the Patriots for the remainder of the season. The terms of the agreement haven’t been released but the move will most likely be for 1 year and then a retirement announcement from Harrison.

The Patriots aren’t asking much from him but lets hope he has 4 games left in him.
